In 1990, Alejandro Cofresi Bobe designed several water purification systems and started the manufacturing of water filters and founded a company, VKI INC. The company diversified quickly, venturing into plastic packaging products and filtration components.
In 1991, VKI Inc. designed and began manufacturing their first water dispenser, which incorporated reverse osmosis systems to reduce the need for plastic bottles and promote eco-friendliness. Since then, the company has continued to innovate and expand their product line, offering a range of water purification and filtration systems for residential, commercial, and industrial use. With a commitment to quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, VKI Inc. has established itself as a trusted leader in the water treatment industry.
In 1992 designed and started manufacturing the first bacteriostatic counter top and under counter for residential, industrial and commercial sectors. In 1993 designed and started manufacturing the first bacteriostatic whole house.
In 1996 designed and started manufacturing the first bacteriostatic whole house with automatic backwash valve and the whole house softeners. In the same year (1996), we developed the brand H2One for our bacteriostatic water purification system and made them completely different from VKI INC.
In 2001, we had our first office and showroom in New York City. In 2004 H2One’s brand managed to be on our local hardware stores through the Caribbean islands. In 2009, we designed a Rain Harvesting and purification system for residential, commercial and industrial sectors.
2011 was a year where we changed from VKI INC. to Eco Spectrum Technology Corp. For the design and manufacture of cartridge types for the water purification of several harmful contaminants found in municipal water. In 2014 H2One redesigned models and presented new products to the consumer. In 2015 H2One had an awesome rebranding. We changed the name, slogan and logo to H2One Pure, “The Water that your Body Needs”, “El Agua que tu Cuerpo Necesita”. By that same Year, we developed the Reverse Osmosis Systems UV Light and Alkaline filter.
In 2017, Hurricane Maria category 5 devastated our island, and partially lost the building, showroom and stock. In 2018, after the hurricane came we managed to rebuild and keep with the brand and it managed to survive thanks to the Rain Harvesting and solar panels that we installed. In 2022, H2One Pure developed water purification systems for pets & aquariums.
